Aion 2 Macros: Setup, Delay and What to Put in Them

Meta GlobalSystem guidePatch: Global · Season 1Updated: 2 October 2026

What a macro does

Aion 2 has a built-in macro. While you hold its key, the game runs through a list of skills from top to bottom and then starts again. A skill that is on cooldown is skipped and the next one fires. It is not a one-press automation: let go of the key and it stops.

Used well, it handles your filler rotation so you can concentrate on positioning and on the skills that need judgment.

Setting it up

  1. Bind a key. Settings → Key Settings → General → Gameplay → Macro. No key is assigned by default. Many players use the right mouse button.
  2. Build the chain. Open the Skill screen (K) and press the Macro button in the top right corner. Add the skills in the order you want them tried.
  3. Set the delay between steps (see below).
  4. Test it on a training dummy. Check that no skill is skipped by mistake and that the chain flows.

Each of your three skill presets has its own macro, and only the macro of the active preset runs. Switch presets with Alt + Num4, Num5 and Num6. That gives you room for a PvE macro, a PvP macro and a farming macro.

Which delay to use

Sources disagree, so test both on a dummy:

If skills start getting dropped from the chain, raise the delay.

What goes in the macro

The goal is not to fit in as many skills as possible. Group skills by cooldown and by whether they need a decision.

Put in

Leave out and press yourself

Order matters. The macro always tries the first skill first. Put your highest-priority skill at the top so it is used every time it comes off cooldown, and the weakest filler at the bottom. The active skill tables in each class guide show which skills top players level first, which is a good starting point for that order.
