Global is on an earlier patch than Korea. This tier list is based on the Korean meta and will be adjusted as global data comes in.
PvE endgame (dungeons)
How much each class is worth to a dungeon group. Damage classes are ranked by DPS: about 1.57 million Korean combat logs (AION2CAL, 2026-10-02) across the six most-logged endgame dungeons, comparing each class's typical DPS with the best class in each dungeon. Tank, healer and support are ranked by how much groups need them, not by damage: every party wants a Cleric and a Templar, and a Chanter is welcome but replaceable.
PvP (Abyss & Arena)
Based on the official Korean rankings (2026-10-02): the top 100 of the Abyss and of the solo Arena on 12 servers, 2,400 ranked characters in total. Each class's share of those spots is compared with its share of all ranked players, so a popular class does not rank high just for being popular. Cleric is last in solo rankings but the most over-represented class in the small team Arena sample, so it is better in groups than this tier suggests.
Farming & leveling
Speed clearing mob packs and how well the class survives alone. Editorial ranking based on each class's kit (area damage, sustain, pets), not on logged data.
Best for beginners
Ease of play and room for mistakes. Editorial ranking: simple kits and durable classes rank higher, classes that punish mistakes or carry the group's survival rank lower.
